The meaning of Satyamev is based on Truth, Satyamev Jayate means “Truth always wins”. This word is known in our country of India because of the national symbol being written below the wheel of the Ashoka pillar. Satyamev Jayate is written in Devanagari script language.

This is also found written on the currency money of India, it means that people should always follow the path of truth. The father of our country, Mahatma Gandhi always used to say that follow the truth, for this he also started the Satyagraha movement.

It means that whoever follows the truth always gets success and happiness. But many difficulties may have to be faced in following the path of this truth.

To bring this Satyamev Jayate on the stage of our nation, it could be propagated and spread only by hard work by Honorable Madan Mohan Malviya ji.

The only purpose of this campaign by Malviya ji was to bring all the people on the path of truth because he knew that the development of our country can happen only by walking on the path of truth.

He used to inspire all the youth to follow the path of truth because it is said that the future of our country is in the hands of the youth of the country and the youth who follows the path of truth will change their own and country’s destiny.

History of Satyamev Jayate

It is said that in 250 BC, Emperor Ashoka wrote a verse in Devanagari script at Sar Nath near Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, which begins with the word Satyamev Jayate. Whose main objective was that truth always wins.

This is the constitution of our country India and the national symbol Ashoka Pillar has been shown. Its recognition was fully implemented by the Government of India on 26 January 1950 to Satyamev Jayate written on the Ashoka Pillar. Since then, Satyamev Jayate is written everywhere in all government offices, court courts or parliament buildings, so that people follow the path of truth and do not commit any corruption or untruth.

India has been the history of the country that we have got success after a long struggle and countless sacrifices.

Power of Truth

There is so much power in truth that if we decide that I have to complete this work or destination, then that work will be completed cent per cent. No matter how many difficulties have to be faced on the way, but that work will be completed.

According to all these things, this pillar of Emperor Ashoka has also been depicted on the currency rupee of India. So that people leave the side of evil and walk on the path of good, that means truth always wins over untruth. There is a verse in its culture which is as follows –

(In Sanskrit –सत्यमेव जयते नानृतं सत्येन पन्था विततो देवयानः येनाक्रमंत्यृषयो दूत कामा यत्र सत्यस्य परमं निधानभ)

In English – Truth alone triumphs, not falsehood; by truth the path of the gods is spread, By whom the sages, messengers and desires attack, where the supreme treasure of truth is.

This means that truth always triumphs and not falsehood. This is the only path you can follow to fulfill your desires. The sages attain the ultimate goal of life.

Victory of Truth

Truth is such a thing that a person experiences happiness and peace only by truth. The person who always speaks the truth has no fear of anything. His heart and mind are always calm and clear. He is always praised in the society and one who walks on the path of truth definitely gets success.

Truthful people always walk with their head held high, people’s faith is visible in them. Whatever work he gets, he does it with great honesty and integrity. He does not give false consolation to anyone. For this people trust him. In a way, the one who walks on the path of truth is always trustworthy.

Defeat of Falsehood

The one who has walked on the path of untruth till now has always had to face the consequences. Because it is said that whoever walks on the path of untruth never gets success. Unrealistic people if they get success in anything but it does not last long. In the end, his lies get exposed.

This untruthful person has always been his nature to lie to people, slander, deceive, cheat, all these remain his main tasks, and most of the good people get trapped in his clutches and easily fall prey to him. Such people fall in the eyes of humans and society.
